How we achieve this lower cost
About 7.6% lower than the 2025 combined proposal, by focusing spend where it matters most for Die Boord.
School perimeter costs shared differently
Public safety outside schools was shared in the 2025 proposal; only BDKW contributes to that initiative now.
Cameras financed, not bought upfront
Cameras are financed via HP/lease rather than owned outright from day one.
Parks and infrastructure trimmed to essentials
Upgrading of public infrastructure and parks has been cut to what is needed now.
Security-first budget
The 2026 budget focuses primarily on security-related spending.
